Film advance on Rolleicord

I am about to take delivery of a Rolleicord V. Having read through

the instructions they say that there is an automatic stop on the

first exposure, but nothing about the rest. Will it be like my old

Rolleiflex Automat that stops automatically on each wind of the

film, or do I have to keep a check on the window to prevent over

winding. Also are there any other good tips on film loading with

this camera.

Hello Simon,

 

Yes, the film advance is like that of your Automat to the extent that you don't have to line up numbers through a red window (there isn't one). Just wind on, and the mechanism takes care of the spacing for you.

You probably already know this from reading the instructions, but if not: when first loading the film, before you close the back and advance the film, remember to line up the arrows with the red dots. Once this is done, you can then safely close the back, and proceed to the first frame.
