michael_hintlian1
Greetings... My father is interested in reading a book on digital photography. He has a working knowledge of traditional photography so what he needs is a book that builds upon this understanding. What are the book recommendations for this soon-to-be digital photographer? I am grateful for any and all help. MH
alexdi
This one, "Shooting Digital", is totally worthwhile.
It's concerned more with the act of photography than some of the more technical points of digital. For that, back issues of Luminous Landscape are all you need.
DI
robertpastierovic
Try also Photoshop book for digital photographers for a digital darkroom work.
Photoshop for Photographers is also a good website. bruce_garrett
As a good guide to the transition from film to digital try The Digital SLR Handbook by Michael Freeman. This book assumes a working knowledge of shooting film and covers all aspects of digital photography in a practical and straightforward format. Recommended. krisheylen
Digital Photography by Tom Ang helped me out a lot when I was starting with digital. It also has some explanations on scanning film and post processing.
