As for value: Ebay will get you $120-$150 for a mint condition K28-3.5 if you have high quality images and a well-worded auction. For a local sale to an individual - closer to $200. I paid $69 (EBay) for the lens with original sun shade and cases for both. Now that I've had it for a while and seen the results it is capable of, I'd have paid three times as much. The 28/3.5 SMC Pentax is supposed to have the same opical design as the earlier 28/3.5 screw mount Takumar. I have one of those and I wouldn't say it's sharper than my 28/2.8 M. The 28/3.5 SMC Pentax lenses weren't made for very long and that makes them mroe valuable than their performance, which is still supposed to me good. I do prefer my 55/1.8 SMC Pentax to my 50/1.7 M even though both are good. The 55 is supposed to be the same optically as the earlier 55/1.8 screw mount Takumar. They usually cost a little more than this though, but I would certainly have been loathe to pay more than about $60 although they do sometimes make considerably more.
