wai_leong_lee
Am I correct to say that the Focotar 40/2.8 has a 40.5 mm front diameter? Would I be able to screw on a 40.5 mm filter? I ask because I'm thinking of using a red filter from time to time, as a safety filter. It would also be interesting to put a soft focus filter to get a dreamy effect with a sharp negative, although I know the effect is different from a negative made with a soft filter in front of the lens in camera. jim r
There aren't any threads on the front of the Focotar lens. The rear is threaded for the use of extension rings. There is a screw adaptor on the inboard side of the lens holder that allows the use of a swing out filter holder that is placed in front of the lens.
