neil_parker
Help! I'm buried deeply in the custom settings menu of my new D200. An immediate question is how to deal with a 50 f1.4 and a 50 f1.8 manual focus nikkors, apparently you can only store one focal length at a time. Is there a workaround, or maybe I'm doing it wrong? I find it frustrating I have to store all this info anew each time I make a new custom settings preset, or clear an existing one. Is there any way to make certain things 'sticky' to all new presets, e.g. file naming and sequencing, MF lens info, etc?
joseph_smith3
I have some mf lenses that I use with my D 200. I have not felt the need to load any of the mf lens data into my D200. I shoot in aperture mode. The fact that I am not seeing the actual f stop at the time I take the image or in the final shooting data table is not slowing me down. However, it you must see it, you can program different series of settings. One could be for each of your 50mm lenses. Just check your manual and it will tell you how to do it. I have not done it, but it looked pretty straightforward. Keep us posted. Joe Smith
dan_long
Try storing one lens as a 50mm, and the other as a 55mm. the focal length difference is negligible.
