chepas_nigs
Hi all, I wanted to get one fisheye lens for the Pentax *istD with the choice between the Sigma or the Pentax. The Pentax is about US$100 cheaper. I was considering the Tokina 12-24mm before hoping I can also use it with the film camera but found out there was none for the Pentax KA mount. Which would you recomend? Thanks!
glivingston
I have a Sigma 15mm f2.8 fisheye for my ist*D and for my ZX-5N film camera and I think it's a great lens. I've taken some wonderful shots with it on both cameras. It's tack sharp, easily focuses on either automatic or manual and produces great color saturation. I've never used the Pentax or Tokina, but I love the Sigma. Here's an example from the Big Bend area in Texas on Fuji Velvia film.<div></div>
stemked
Chelo, There are a couple of Russian fisheyes that are very nice. I have one that begins with a B(?) (I don't have it on me right now)that takes lovely images; the Zenitar runs about $120 and seems to be fine too.
