alexander_nichols
The built-in lens hood on the late version is rather shallow. Is it adequate or do you use something else?
alan_wilder1
It's inadequate but fortunately the lens is pretty flare resistant. You could certainly get a screw-in hood for an 85 mm SLR lens but a step ring might be needed. The drawback of any screw-in hood would be the intusion into the viewfinder field especially at 1 meter which is probably why the built-in hood is kept so shallow. alexander_nichols
Right Alan. I have a deep 55mm rubber hood and it takes up 1/4 of the 90mm frame. A vented hood, if available, could be the solution.
