jack_lo_..._t_o Posted November 13, 2005 Share Posted November 13, 2005 Not the first time I have graphically imagined putting a pickaxe through the centre of my scanner-this is a crop from the part of the neg that it felt like scanning; but at least it "found" this negative, among st the perfectly exposed 12 I presented to it. I have an imaginary engineer/designer in mind when these things happen. If I were there the inception(at EpsonCo)I would have suggested a mechanical way of forcing the machine to scan what is there; but "he" is so cocksure of his programs and formulae and there is no fallback device and I am a dinosaur (which I am). I worry about what I would do to my first digital camera when I get one, and it comntravenes my desire with its Nerd Logic.
