johnny massey
There may be some of you guys and gals who will become somewhat excited when I tell you that Robert White (www.robertwhite.co.uk) has just bought Konica/Minolta's last remaining stocks of these beauties. The prices are on the website. Moderators please note:- I am in no way associated with the above concern, other than as a customer, nor do they pay for extensive Caribbean holidays on my behalf. NB If anyone does want to send me away I'd quite like to try Kerala State (India), thanks in advance, Johnny.
vivek iyer
I would to go there as well and I do not mind getting a donation of M lenses plus a body.
saotome_genma
Thanks for the tip. Just got me a 35mm f.2 hexanon.
kevin m.
For $526 brand new, the 35 Hexanon is the best deal in an M-mount 35, hands down.
dan_chang
Where can you find the online prices of those Konica lenses? I cannot locate them at all.
icuneko
Strange. When I first read this, I checked the Robert White site, and itlisted all these lenses with prices. After reading Dan's question, I wentback to the site and they are not now listed. What's up?
pensacolaphoto
Maybe they will raise prices after the publicity here.
bill_marshall1
It sure was tempting. I'll bet they've sold out.
lutz
Darn... no list of lenses, no pricing... USD 539 would have been a steal - are you sure it wasn't more like GBP 539?
pensacolaphoto
Lutz: Their prices are in GBP.
johnny massey
I think the problem might be that the stock hasn't arrived from Germany yet. Perhaps I've made myself unpopular enough for that (one-way) ticket to India to become a reality. Anyways, I wrote the prices down when I first saw them, they were as follows 28mm - 312UKP, 35mm - 301UKP, 50mm - 216UKP and the 90mm - 277UKP, all exclusive of UK Value Added Tax. Although these prices might not hold good, I think Robert White can generally be relied on to be fair, their prices are generally pretty keen compared with the competition. Check the website regularly, I'll bet when they can guarantee delivery dates the items will magically re-appear. Johnny.
kevin m.
Lutz, it was 301 English pounds, or 526 USD. The link to the Hexar RF page no longer works.Maybe someone realized that they sell used on ebay for more than that and pulled the ad?
jack_wilber
As of 3:10 EDT they are all right here: http://www.robertwhite.co.uk/35mmOthers.htm I'm not certain these lenses were discontinued at all. Perhaps no longer exported from Japan? I keep seeing scattered reports that they are stocked and available new in stores in Japan. Did Mr. Massey actually speak with Robert White himself and confirm this is the last of these lenses?
aizan_sasayama
I only see Ricoh and Rollei stuff there. Guess they're hiking up the price of the Konica stuff.
johnny massey
Jack, I rang to order a Leica strap and was told that the Hexanons were listed on the site because they had just secured the last of the european stock . . .

mattalofs
"Unfortunatily they grew up to be just little duds." I don't know. I kind of like them. I've got the 28, 50 and the 90. They take pretty pictures, they are well built, and they aren't as absurdly expensive as leica lenses. I wish KM would build a digital RF to take them, but I'm not holding my breath.

hexar rf, hexanon 50, kodak portra 800 | www.1pt4.com

jasper1
The masses were shooting with digital and there was just a sameness. Far from the heaving mass was a little man shooting silver film. He was chosen because of his Art.
