mtwhite
I'm trying to find out if a Jet Tec refill kit and their chip resetter is worthwhile, or if it's going to cause more trouble than it's worth. I found very little information on their products that's not from their own website, mostly just opinions from Usenet, which I don't really trust. Thoughts? melvin_bramley
I have no idea who Jet Tec is. There are so many inkjet refill kits around it's hard to "guess" what is good or bad.I just went through a very frustrating time after having my r300 cartriges refilled. I eventually gave up & went back to genuine Epson refills; whilst coughing at the prices.I hope someone helps with suggestions on "good" refills or bulk ink systems. jean_jacques_lemaire
I don't have a precise answer to the question, but if you are looking for quality, you should check whether if Jet-Tec inks are pigment or not.
Pigment inks *should* make longer lasting prints, but it depends also on the paper (if not mainly).
Of course you're aware of printerheads clogging...
For my part I have a Canon Pixma5000 and wonder to use 3rd party inks to get pigments instead of normal color inks.
To get a perfect color match, you should also acquire a printer-calibration system or just an ICC-profile made for your inks & paper.
