Best school for photojournalism?

Hello,

Just wanted to know if anyone knows of or can recommend the

best school for photojournalism. It can be anywhere in the world.

I'm looking for formal training in this field of photography and I

think school is the way to go.

Search photo.net for previous threads on 'schools of photojournalism/. There have been several discussions. In the US, Missouri, Western Kentucky and Ohio U. (Athens) come to mind. There are others.

The PJ program at University of Nebraska at Lincoln is said to be pretty darn good.

thanks to all who contributed, I will definitely look into your answers. I actually am finishing my last year of nursing school, so money would not be the issue. I just want to be steered in the right direction.

P.S. Rob, I was thinking of either US or Europe. I'm willing to travel. It's just I think I would be thrown off my the metric system if I was to get work as a registered nurse there.

Coming from the University of Missouri's school of journalism, I have a very high regard

for the photojournalism sequence there. Not only are the instructors and resources top

notch, the level of talent atteding the school can be quite inspiring.

 

They host a prestigious competition every year called "picures of the year international"

As a recent grad oh Ohio U I have to tell you to take a look at their program. Very

knowledgeable and helpful professors.
