nathaniel_pearson
Dante Stella called it a 'sleeper' of a lens. Glad I bothered to wake it...<div></div>

eliot_rosen1
Nice, I'd say you really captured their boredom and apathy. :-)
thomas_t
Nice shots Nathaniel. The smooth tonality really reminds me of the 50/1.5 sonnar (contax mount) I used to own. Boy, I miss that lens. I haven't been disappointed by a 1.5 sonnar yet. Glad you woke it up as well!
dave_chadderton
I think they're lovely pics - I'm as much impressed with the film and processing as with the lens qualities.
andrew_lee2
Cool, Nate. I've always wanted to try this lens.. if only I could afford it! (Jupiter-8 is the 50 I roll with now). 3 and 5 are cool.
frederick_muller
Very nice, Nathaniel. I continue to be amazed by the quality one can get from older lenses. Lens technology really is much more mature than one might think. We're nibbling at improvements these days ... the photograph is really 99% in the subject we place in front of the lens and in the photographer/s eye. On the week-end I picked up an older Canon 135mm / f3.5 I'm anxious to try out. I've seen tests posted that show it the rough equal of the Tele-Elmar, and hence not too far off the current APO-Telyt. I'll post samples when I have them. Keep working that sleeper, man! It deserves to be used!
furcafe
Amen. I think most of the improvements in the last 50 years have been in coatings & the main effect of those advances was to make zoom lenses much more useable. --------------------- "Lens technology really is much more mature than one might think.
