steve_yeatts
I'm considering the purchase of this flash, but I'm confused about thedifferent variants of the module #3402. As I understand it, the mostcurrent version of the module is M4. When I looked at this flash atmy local shop, the Metz box stated that it came with the module M4. But on the flash itself was actually version M3. What I'm trying tofigure out is the difference between the M3 and M4 and whether the M3will provide all the proper features (namely, i-TTL) on the newestNikon bodies, the F6 in my case. Any information is appreciated.
alan_chan4
Email Metz Germany and they should have the definite answer.
bernard_frank
Yes, e-mail Metz in Germany, but a warning here: I have e-mailed Metz in Germany a few months ago about a Metz 54 which never worked as advertised with Nikon DSLRs, and... they never even bothered to reply. As far as I'm concerned, Metz is now on my black list. I hope you'll have better luck.
terry_m1
You don't need to contact Metz at all. Instead, call Bogen in New Jersey at 201-818-9500 and reach their knowledgeable technical support staff. Bogen is the U.S. distributor of Metz products. I have three different Metz flash units I use with my Leica equipment, and Bogen's staff has always been able to satisfactorily answer every question I've asked them. christopher_engeler
Just send in your adapter to Bogen. They will update it to M4 without charge, not even for return shipping. Best service ever!
