shannon_s.
Hi yall,I'm desperately trying to find the best place to get my film processed in Houston. I'm looking for good prices, too. Walgreens has been spotty in the past, and the prints don't have a waterseal. Ritz/Wolf has turned out great prints, but I feel like it's a ripoff. I've been working with single use cheapies to see if I can get more artistic and adventurous shots, so now I have 6 disposables to develop. So Ritz will be pretty expensive. 1. What is the best quality/price processing place in Houston (or via mail)?2. Does anyone know of any discounts for developing a lot at the same time? Thanks so much for your thoughts! ryan nutt
I've never used them to process film, but Photographic Techniques is great for printing. It's PhotographicTechniques.com. I had a good experience with Acadian Photoworks processing e-6, but they're a pain to get to from my house. They're inside the 610 loop. Houston Photo Imaging is supposed to be good, but I've never used them.
john_shriver
Cheap and good don't go together in photo processing. Good people (which is what it takes) need to be paid well. Or they leave.
eye-of-searle
Yep, cheap and good don't really go hand in hand. For cheap, believe it or not Costco at I-10 and Bunkerhill is pretty good. I have used them for family snapshots and the results have been pretty good. For all other, I use Hot Flash. Very good consistent results. They are located over on Bellaire, just east of Chimney Rock. They are pretty easy to work with so give them a call. They might be willing to give a quantity discount. Although quantity to you might not be quantity to them.
joseph_smith3
Contact ADTECH Photo Imaging at 713-667-6777. They are very good. They probably cost more than you are already paying. Joe Smith
eric evan lee
AdTech is closed. I used them, and enjoyed their work. Now I'm looking for a lab that can do E-6 processing of 4x5 film. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate it.
