huw_finney
Here are a few more of the pictures from my Sunday walk with my II. The sundial shows BST, well I suppose it is sunnier in the UK when daylight saving is in force.<div></div>

huw_finney
the old 1934 Elmar does quite a good job, as seen in this detail enlargement.<div></div>
huw_finney
And finaly, my ultimate goal, the pub where I am to meet the missus. This is a half frame crop, that old FP4 is showing its age here.<div></div>

open
i actually just posted a question asking about the performance of this lens(maybe a later coated version). Do you have more photos taken with it, i'm particularly interested in street/people photos taken with this lens. Would like to see what is meant by the dreamy look that people claim it radiates. Thanks
mskovacs
I have other Tessar type (4 elements 3 groups) lenses from that period and earlier, and you simply cannot fault them for poor resolution, especially in the centre. Nice work. The oldest 35mm I owned was a 1936 Contax :)
huw_finney
'Dreamy look' AKA a bit of flare, it is quite good enough for a 10x8 print, I wouldn't go much further. No street shots yet, and quite unlikely as I don't do much. There is one of my threads titled something like 'totaly wrong gear' that has a streetish shot in it. huw_finney
I would say at least as good as a 4-6 MP digicam.
