axel_bueckert
Can anybody provide me with a manual (or a link or just some tips) for my ancient Rolleicord I? I?m new to middle-format and vintage cameras - so any help ist greatly appreciated. Thanks!
paul_sym
There is a site @ www.butkus.org that has a number of manuals in PDF form that can be downloaded for a few bucks. I had a 'cord I years ago and aside from a CLA the mirror had to be resilvered. It was a sturdy, fun little camera that worked well.
paul_sym
Sorry, the link above isn't good enough. The complete link is: http://www.butkus.org/chinon. The Rollei stuff is down towards the bottom of the page.
patric_dahl_n
The Rolleicord I is very simple to use. Just load the film, wind and stop when the first frame number appears in the red window at the bottom of the camera. Then reset the film counter. After then you don't use the red window anymore. Set the speed and aperture, focus, cock the shutter and take the photo. Wind the film to the next frame. It doesn't stop automatically, so just watch the counter when to stop winding. Do you have the Art-Deco model or the leather covered version with 3,8 Triotar?
paul_de_angelis2
I've got a Rolleicord I (type 3, police version, apparently) and if you need any help, feel free to write directly to me and I will help any way I can. Yours, Paul
