art_arkin
My 68 M4 was in bad need of a CLA so I sent her to Peter at CRR Luton. http://www.angelfire.com/biz/Leica/ This is a post in praise of his amazing standard of service and work. US based Leica techs Sheri and DAG are often mentioned on the forum but I thought I'd add Peter to this list. He is a true master craftsman and CLA wise it simply doesn't get better. My girl is crystal clear, purring like she did in 68 and ready for work.
clayh
I can vouch for the excellence of his work as well. He completely refurbed an old M2R, black painted it, and it looks and handles like it was made yesterday. Fantastic quality. Clay
andy m.
I certainly agree, Arthur.
tim_franklin
Good to hear Arthur. Peter isn't far from where I live, so maybe I'll give him a try next time some work needs doing. Just out of interest, has anybody compared standards/prices etc between Peter and Malcolm Taylor?
ian blacklaw richardson
I fixed my VIHOO finder on a FED 1. Bad Idea! It fell off and the glass was rattling around inside. I sent it to Peter Grisaffi and got it back next day like new with all the fungus removed. For the first time I know what a real universal viewfinder image should look like. Peter is an excellent engineer. I would thoroughly recommend him, even to overseas members. I had also sent him a recently bought IIIf from ebay which he told me had been butchered and fitted with a Zorki shutter. He quite rightly, will not work with such rubbish. He is a true Leicaman! robweatherburn
Peter Grisaffi. Great guy - will chat about any problems - superb work. He's restored a Leica I and a IIIb for me. Couldn't ask for anything better.
