akavalun Posted July 7, 2005 Share Posted July 7, 2005 I currently own a Galen Rowell 2 stop hard step ND filter and am looking into purchasing a 1 stop soft step ND filter. If you don't want to see a clear line of graduation, then you have to be just as careful lining up multiple filters as you would lining up just the single hard grad. In other words, if you have a Cokin holder that will accept 3 or 4 filters, first line up your hard grad, then insert the soft grad and position it where you want it. (Or vice versa). Of course it can get a little tricky if you're hand-holding the filters instead of using a filter holder. But it can be done. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
