denisgermain
How many photos have you taken with the camera? I've got over 60000 photos on the counter and the shutter is still fine. Did you use an external flash by any chance? (shutter speed too high for the flash?) - If so... try shooting normally without a flash

bobatkins
Shutter failure at 30,000-40,000 cycles is about right. If you get 60,000 you're just very lucky. <p> I hear that it costs around $250 in the US to get the shutter replaced. That's probably around £200 in the UK given the usual rate of exchange for camera related stuff!
mark u
You can find details of Canon repair facilities in the UK via their website (under Support/Authorised Service Facilities). I'd check before sending your camera in that the one you select can handle the repair - they should also be able to give you an estimate for the shutter replacement. I believe Lehmanns has a good reputation. https://self-service.canon-europe.com/uk/pages/

rusmi
It's not the shutter but the secondary mirror, the plastic pin is broken and it doesn't open properly, I hope you got it fixed!
