johnmarkpainter
I just got a Maxwell Hi-Lux Screen with Grid for my Hasselblad 500 c/m. LOVE IT! I previously had a Beattie Screen with a Split 45 degree Focus Aid and the Maxwell (without a Focus aid) is much easier for me to Focus. I find that I can easily focus on objects in the corners of the screen. jmp
mike_grigsby
Hi John, Where do you buy these screens? I've used Beattie screens before, but don't like the way the edges fall off with wide angles. Thanks!
johnmarkpainter
You direct order from Maxwell Precision Optics (do a search...his number & email are on the web). It took a LONG time to get mine as he was waiting for some new material to arrive. It was worth the wait though.
simonpg
Thanks for the tip. How do you feel it compares with the current Hasselblad screen?
johnmarkpainter
Simon, I have never used ANY current Hasselblad stuff :) The Beattie screen was better than the original Screen ane the Maxwell is better than the Beattie screen. One thing though....these screens can kind of flare out when light hits them from above when using the Waist Level Finder (if your head isn't in the way). jmp
