paul_chance
I may be traveling to Boise next week on business and was thinking of taking a day off to see some sites to photograph. Any suggestions and 'must see' locations in mid Sept? Have the leaves started turning yet? I enjoy landscape and wildlife. Thanks!
don_cooper
Paul, had an assignment back in 94, lots of great subjects in Boise. From my records consider the following: 1-Morrison-Knudsen Depot, on a hill above Boise, great gardens, city below. 2-Old Penitentiary, Bishops house. 3-Statehouse. 4-Historical Commission has an old village downtown. 5. Boise State Univ. 6-City Hall. Don't know if these are still good but it'll give you a start.
ducksquat
I enjoyed taking the hour drive to Sun Valley for the ski town atmosphere. There's also another relatively short drive to Bruneau Dunes SP and the old ghost town of Silver City. I also enjoyed shooting raptor photos at World Center for Birds of Prey in Boise.
