joop
Help! in the middle of a film, my hexar RF suddenly stopped working, when i pressed the exposure knob, in the frame counter a blinking '10' appeared. It doesn't want to do anything anymore. After taking out the batteries long enough to reset it, I tried again. Film rewind works, the lightmeter works, but as soon as i press the exposure button it is in the 'lock' again. Is there a trick to overcome this problem? Or do I really have to send it away for servicing ? (I found something on hexar-user-list of yahoo, pressing the exposure button while the shutterdial is on "Bulb", when reloading the batteries, but that also did not do the trick). Any help is appreciated!

bill a.
There is also some discussion of this on the Yahoo Hexar RF forum. Dante Stella had obtained a copy of the service manual, which he commented was pretty useless because all the repairs require specialized, specific equipment and tools -- the error codes are cryptic, but a "10" or "11" indicate some type of shutter or shutter control failure. Looks like a service call. Sorry.
