cityshapes
I have a Wolverine media storage device and for about a year it has worked fine. Recently, when I was downloading files from a CF, it stopped copying, started beeping continuously, and had a symbol on the front that I can't decipher. It is not full, and the reset button doesn't seem to do anything. Can anyone tell me what to do? It's frustrating that there is no owner's manual for the device. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Palouse
Haven't seen that one! Here are a couple of things that might help: For technical support issues: support@wolverinedata.com From their website: Why isn't there a manual with my product?A. Our products are so simple to use, the quick reference printed on the business card-sized CD would normally suffice. A more detailed manual can be found in the CD. frank_skomial
Connect your Wolverine to a PC via a USB cable, and see what you have on the hard disk inside the Wolverine. See, if the hard disk in Wolverine is "sane", that is, if you can write to it from PC, read from, and possible erase all files. (I am not sure if formatting the hard disc is allowed ??) Check the available disk size, all of this while connected to a computer. This may give you more information, that could direct your recovery steps, or provide more data for the Wolverine tech reps, when you call them. waltz
I believe the Wolverine units are re-packaged Vosonic X's Drive II VP2060 devices. You might try www.vosonic.com.tw

The manual includes translations of the symbols on the LCD and can be found at http://www.vosonic.com/Manager/PDF/XsDriveIIVP_11.pdf

Not that it's any more help than the above suggestions... cityshapes
Thanks everybody... I haven't solved the problem yet, but just FYI and for those in the future that this may happen to, the vosonic website was very helpful as was the tech support at Wolverine. I've scanned the disk... no known errors. The message indicator means it's out of memory, which is sort of strange, because it shouldn't be. So... I'm going to clean it off first (I can use a computer to do this) then re-format the entire drive using the Wolverine software off of their site. I'll let you all know what happens. Thanks again. cityshapes
Re-formatting the Wolverine worked... hope this doesn't happen often. Thanks for the help.
Palouse
Good to hear that. I will pay close attention as mine fills up--on second thoughts, I'll go and format it right now. Have a great day!
