whitworth photography
I have the Tamron and absolutely love it. It's fast, sharp, not too heavy and has good bokeh. Based on the 2 Sigma lenses I have I'm not a big fan, but I know others here on the board swear by them. The best thing you can do is try them both out in a camera store, or better yet buy them both and return the one you don't want. The guys at the Ritz Camera near where I live have encouraged me to do that. Good luck.
mark u
http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00CjW3 Although I will admit the 24-60 doesn't get discussed so often.
yakim_peled1
>> I have a two type Tamron 28-75 Not so. There is only one Tamron 28-75 version and it's the 2.8 version. Sigma is the most confusing one having 24-70/2.8, 24-60/2.8, 28-70/2.8 and several other with variable max aperture. Happy shooting, Yakim.
