big toys are better
Is there a solid concensus on archival printing with the latest inkjetprinters and a good resource for reviews on doing so? I plan to investin some new Epson hardware (R2400) with an eye towards archivalprinting and will then begin printing both B&W and color images. One thing I remember so well is the sometimes conflicting advice formounting color versus B&W photos, in part due to the color dyes beingpH sensitive. I work on the asumption that a dye based ink will alsobe pH sensitive while pigment based inks will likely not be sensitive. This is important when choosing any mounting media, in particular thepH buffered papers designed to prevent damage from atmosphericchemicals such as nitrous or sulfur oxides which will form acids inabsorptive materials such as paper when humidity levels rise. Thanks in advance....
