albert knapp md
The Somme was most moving. Beaumont Hamel, the little cemetery where Lord Asquith's eldest son is buried, Dellville Wood where the South African regiment was nearly annihilated, etc... The Brits lost 60,000 men on July 1, 1916 of which about 20,000 died..... slightly more than the 10 to 20,000 murdered DAILY by the Nazis at Auschwitz between 1942 and Jan 1945. That little fact is nearly unbelievable as the number is so great but that is why Auschwitz is truly Hell on Earth... Bon voyage and look forward to your photos.
