palfy
Since I do not know the topology of Bangkok, could someone recommend vista points for shooting panoramas in Bangkok? Or would the air quality be so bad that I should not even bother? Thanks in advance Palfy
herve_blandin
Vista? I assume you mean from a certain height. I think there are some nice shots to be had of the river on top of the RIVER VIEW GH, in Chinatown. No need to stay, there is an elevator to thatBfast balcony. Another high point with a 360d view all around this time, is Wat Saket, the "golden mount" not far from the Democracy monument and Khao San Rd. Never been there, but there is the nakhon sakhon tower, on the street of the same name, and i think close to the river. Quite recent, should be very tall. the Dusit thani at silom and Rama 4 has cool vistas on Lumpini park, not sure if it's open-aired up there. Not that I recall. Hope that helps.<div></div>
boris earth
How about the cocktail bar on the roof of the Westin Banyan Tree on Sathorn Rd!
gediminas_p
The highest spot in Bangkok has to be the viewing deck on the 82th floor of the Baiyoke Sky Hotel which is 308 metres tall. A few shots from there, along with my other Thailand travel snaps, can be found at http://www.gediminas.fotopic.net/c269879.html .
