bsphoto Posted August 29, 2005 Share Posted August 29, 2005 what it looks like is a soft focus with either a stocking or very thin layer of vasiline over a UV filter. you also need the right lighting to get the colors to be that sense... my guess is its also been under exposed slightly. like maybe 1/3 or 1/2 stop or so... ivan_dzo Posted August 30, 2005 Share Posted August 30, 2005 Use a 6x6 anti-newton slide mount (half only), gives this type of effect. Vaseline tends to drag lines (nice effect but different). andreas_weber Posted August 30, 2005 Share Posted August 30, 2005 Hey, even though there are no nude young girls in the picture I bet it's again a David Hamilton, it's exactly the style of his scenics and landcapes. If that's so, there definitly is no computer involved and the technique is pretty simple (doesn't make it less effective). That points to either vaseline or even just a breath on the front lens...
