neil_walden
I want to upgrade the memory in my two year old Dell Workstation 360, which now has 1 gig of memory and runs Photoshop CS slowly. I'll need four 512mb PC2700 memory modules to get to 2 gigs. Can you suggest a reliable and cost efficient vendor for this upgrade? Thank you. cbender
Vendor or Manufacturer? Manufacturer - crucial or corsair Vendor - newegg.com
User_1577653
I recently purchased two Simpletech 512Mb memory sticks from Sam's for my Dell Dimension 8300, at a cost of about ~$60 each. All I can report is that they "worked" - installation was easy, I now have 1G more memory, and I haven't noticed any problems. Maybe others more tech-savvy than me can comment on the compatibility/reliability issues with these.
mr.wind-upbird
I second the recommendation for corsair, and newegg.com is fantastic. Shipments from them always seem to come a day early.
digidurst
Some time ago, I had a problem with some memory I bought from Trans'Intl because of something Apple did; They replaced my two sticks, no questions asked and even shipped them to me overnight. Fantastic service there! I have also bought stuff from Newegg and they are wonderful as well. Can't go wrong with either vendor :D

bobmichaels
consider 1 gig chips instead of 512mb. Especially if you have four slots. If you ever want to go higher, you'll have the open slots to do it. Otherwise you'll be looking at replacing a 512mb chip with a 1 gig.
