harvey_trautenberg1
I am contemplating using a 35mm lens on a IIIg. Is the whole viewfinder including the potion outside the frame lines close to the FOV of a 35? I have used the M2 VF to approximate a 28mm lens and wonder if the IIIg is as covenient for a 35. I will test it in any event tonight. Thanks HT
huw_finney
Just had a look, the outside 'frame' is pretty fuzzy and even with the eye very close you (I) can't see alof the outside at once. But it is the same as my M6 35mm frames to the outside of the fuzzy bit.
bobtodrick
I too found that the whole veiwfinder gave a reasonable approximation of frame lines for a 35mm except when closer than 5 or so feet when parallax became an issue.
Troll
Not usable if you want any accuracy at all in framing.
charles_morris1
I use a 35mm on my IIIf and IIIg but use the very neat little CV viewfinder (the metal version) on the accesory shoe - gives a much more "relaxed" view than straining one's eye through the built-in finder
