ericpetersonphoto
Greg! You stole my thunder. Until Nikon/Minolta/Pentax comes up with a consumer FF camera ef-s will thrive, there will always be a market for small. Since Nikon/Minolta and pentax all use the same senson, it will all happen all at once. Then we will truly see if ef-s is dead, but I believe it will be years not months. Greg M
I could see it now- Moose Peterson would buy three of 'em, have a book out within 6 weeks, completely change his website and start talking like Nikon never made small sensors.
mawz
Nikon users had the Full Frame option before Canon users did. The Kodak DCS 14n. Which quickly soured many Nikon shooters on the idea, as it had quality issues and was rather buggy, not to mention based on a amateur film body (the F80). Canon users lucked out in that the first FF Canon was quite respectable, performance-wise and the Kodak DCS/c never had the chance to sour the market. Greg M
Hmmm. Kodak making a buggy camera. Any wonder the way that company operates today? I'm not sure I'd ever trust Kodak to have a clue again.
jim_larson1
Oh EF-S will be around for awhile. I find it more curious that the 1D-II update is still a 1.3 crop camera. . . at lower resolution than the 5D.

mawz
1D mkII N is a speedbump, not an upgrade. It got a new LCD and some firmware changes. Big whoop.
