dan_brown14
Kinda thinking about getting a 1.7x or 3.0x for my new C-7070 (really sweet P&S BTW). Anybody using these? Or are they more trouble than they are worth?
Brian
Dan, I bought a C-7070 recently, I'm very pleased with it. I reckon the add-on lenses for fixed-lens zoom digicams like this are probably too much trouble. If I had wanted a longer zoom I would have bought a different camera.

Also, I tried a wide add-on lens. The image results were good but I felt the add-on lens destroyed the balance of the camera.

These cameras are good but they have their limitations.
karl_wooldridge
I bought the TCON-30C and the WCON-07C. The wide lens does a great job, although it makes the camera a bit unweildy. With regard to the TCON-30C, I have found that using it with the camera hand-held makes for blured pictures; a tripod is probably a must for this lens. As with the WCON-07C it also makes the camera rather unweildy. Both lenses are incompatible with filters, which seems a shame.
