tehsa_lleighnore
i currently live in champaign and haven't visited my parents in awhile. there's only one photo lab i trust down here and they don't do medium format color. i was planning to visit chicago next weekend and wanted to drop off some 120 color film to either triangle camera or just perfect one hour photo in evanston but i've found both numbers to be disconnected. 411 also says they don't exist. so is it true that they are gone forever? i've never had this kind of film processed before so i don't really know where else to go that's within a student's budget so if you have any recommendations please let me know. thanks! mark f
Just Perfect in Evanston is indeed closed...not enough business I guess. I ended up getting A&I mailers to do my color work. Most people I know either send it out or bring it to Gamma downtown.
jeffcallen
CSW has student rates I believe, bring your ID. They're about the same price as Gamma in my experience. They're a boutique pro film lab with one printer, Hosen Chen, he's very personable and he's been patient with my questions. They're in an out of the way place, the building has a mural on the side and the office looks like it could be anything, there's no real sign of it being a photo lab until you see some sample books by some rather famous Chicago pros. <BR>CSW Film Systems Inc., Ltd. 215 N. Damen Chicago IL 60612 312/226-7810 <BR><BR>There's also Reliable Photo in Skokie <A href="http://www.reliablephoto.com/" target="_new">website</A> Note that they have web prices for mail-in that are lower than walk-in prices. Not sure about student rates for them.
jeff_walsh
I believe Helix Camera can do 120 film in an hour, at least thats what the Lombard store told me. They have other locations, but you might want to call in advance. Their numbers are available on their website. Hope this helps. http://www.helixphoto.com/home.html
eric friedemann
It isn't my intention to advertise, so if this post offends a moderator, please take it down. I've worked part-time at P J's Camera in Glen Ellyn since I graduated from high school in 1981 and we develop and print 120 color negative film: http://www.pjcamera.com/

kevin_mcdonald1
Another option, depending upon how you go to Chicago, is the Camera House in Joliet. You might be able to drop it off on the way in to town, and pick it up on the way back out. 2 locations (East & West), I always use West, on Larkin just north of I80. I think they do the lab work at the East location, tho.
