kenneth_logan
In Nikon Capture 4.4, placing the cursor over a spot yields two very different values, in, for instance, the following specifics.1) The Info Palette reads R206 G166 B0, average 159 2) The Curves readout at the bottom of the graphic display reads 124 for both input and output. Assuming that the Curves readout is also an average, why is it 124 compared with the Info Palette's 159? That's quite a difference: close to 1/2 stop of light difference. What do I depend on when spot-checking light values in NC 4.4?
chris m., central florida
Kenneth, isn't the curves palette just reading the point that Nikon Capture arbitrarily places on the flat curves line until you begin your adjustments? Correct me if I'm wrong, but that date point in the curves palette will not change until you actually alter the curve, vs. the info pallette will read where you put your cursor as a sample point.
