king_fung1
I own a Canon 550 flash which is very powerful and I like it very much. I wonder can I use this on my Hasselblad as well? There were no PC cord supplied with the flash in order to attach to the CF lens. Please help.
q.g._de_bakker
King Fung,

Provided the Canon unit is not solely dedicated to Canon cameras (i don't know the unit) but offers auto or manual modes and can be triggered through a 'regular, no-frills' hot shoe, there is a solution to the "no cord" problem.
Manufacturers like Hama sell hot shoes with PC-cord. The cord goes into the PC-socket on the CF lens, the flash unit slips into the hot shoe.

The only thing then is to figure out where to put the hot shoe + flash. A flash bracket will help. picturesque
The 550EX does not have auto thyristor, but it will work in manual mode with the Hasselblad provided you get the gizmo that Q.G. suggested. You will have to set the zoom head manually and the flash will not pick up any info from the camera.
