Heads up on UK air travel situation

As USA wakes up, you my need to be aware that the UK is in full lock down mode

for air travel following a "911" type plot to blow up aircraft in flight,

anyone travelling over the next few days needs to be aware of our restrictions -

all passengers leaving UK and transiting through the UK are affected.

 

Key points - no cabin baggage of any kind, everything must be checked in, only

items allowed in cabins are travel documents and small wallets, effectively

everyone is being searched, plastic bags issued to hold cabin goods, so no

phones, keys, drinks/fluids, laptops, cameras, your pockets must be empty. All

shoes are being xray scanned.

 

As a result the 3 London airports are experiencing extreme delays and flight

cancellations.

 

So if you are travelling with camera gear to Europe via UK this weekend think

about extra checked in allowance problems, security etc, your camera bags are

destined for the hold - nothing but nothing is going into the cabins.

 

Hopefully the restrictions will be lifted over the next few days, but who knows
