arthuryeo
Just got back from Crater Lake NP, a couple of weeks ago. The slides finally arrived and this is the first one. A large part of the Park was enveloped by smoke from a forest fire but the fire was monitored closely to allow for a natural thining of the undergrowth.

So, here's one view of the lake with smoke swinging in from above ...

Shot with Kodak E100GX. ben conover
I like that photo, particularly the steep drop ahead and the ravaged trees with sublime dreamy rockscape accross the waters. The smoke adds a documentary feel, very good and what a lens! Cheers.

s._c.
Outstanding as always. I wanted a SWC for a while, but the prices are prohibitive. I just have a 150 and 80. I went 4x5 for that reason and just got a super angulon 75 f8 (black, in copal) for a plaubel peco jr with a bag bellows. I just wish I had the time and access to the locations you do. Keep up the great work.
arthuryeo
Thanks guys for your kind words. S.C., I think you made the right decision. There are many LF lenses out there that have the same Biogon-based design from Schneider. I'm glad you took advantage of that.

rjm photo
Very nice Arthur...how would you compare this lens i.e. distortion, with your 21mm ZM lens? An SWC is going to be one of my near future purchases.
arthuryeo
Robert, They are both distortion-free when it comes to lines. Because they are corrected based on lines, you should *not* place round subjects (like human heads near the edge) or they will look elliptical. If you need to shoot round subjects, you place them away from the edges. Of course, the SWC is a MF outfit, it will give you more data to play with than the 21mm ZM Biogon. But the 21mm ZM Biogon is very compact and a lot more mobile than the SWC, not to mention that a deent body will also provide on-camera metering. leicaglow
I wanted to go there a couple of weeks ago, but living in Bend, I didn't need any more smoke, so I bailed out. I'm glad I didn't go!<g>
wolf_rainer_schmalfuss
Hi Arthur! Excellent image! In the near future, you don't need to shot your images with an slide film anymore!
