3x4 color film

Does anyone know of a source for 3x4 color print film? I have an old Zeiss

9x12 with a 3x4 GG spring back. I already have some B&W coming from J&C but

would also like to try color. All that comes up on my searches is polaroid

film and that's not what I'm looking for. Thanks as always in advance. L

Some color films are sold for the European market in 9x12 cm size. But anyplace that will ship to the US wants at least $40 for shipping. For a little while J&C Photo was bringing in some 9x12 Ektachrome, perhaps they could add some to their next wholesale shipment.

 

But I don't think anything color comes pre-cut to 3-1/4"x4-1/4".

 

Myself, I just have some boxes of expired 8x10 film I bought on eBay and cut down to 9x12cm or 3A size (3-1/4"x5-1/2"). But there's really no way to do that without getting some dust on the film.

 

For 3x4 or 9x12, it's just as efficient to cut down 4x5, which is a lot cheaper to find. But for the 3A size, 8x10 is the optimal source size, I get three from a sheet.

That's what I was afraid of. Are there places that will cut film for me? I don't have a dark room at the house so I don't think cutting it myself is an option at this time. Any reccommendations? Thanks as always.

You don't need a darkroom. I cut down sheet film in the bathroom with a rolling-blade paper cutter.

Sorry That I can not give you an address or phone number but there is a place in California that offers to cut and will supply pre cut films as well as supply re spooled roll films for odd sized spools.
