Does Angenieux 180apo work on R8?

I have heard that some third party lenses do not work as well on a R8

as some of the earlier models. Does anyone here have know if the

Angenieux 180 2.3APO works properly on an R8?

I did not know the 2.3/180 existed in Leica R mount. I have one in Nikon mount. It is a superb lens.

I have a 3.5/70-210 Angenieux in Leica R mount and have no problems with it on the R9 with DMR. Hellbrunn 313 and Sunrise on the Abtsee were taken with this lens.

I would think the 2.3/180 should work equally well, but of course better to check.

Thanks for comment, I'm going to try a Ang 180, if I can get a hold of one (I have a lead but I have not heard back yet). I'll let everyone know how it goes.
