watermelon
Hiya, I was wondering if there is any useful purpose for a Palm PDAalongside note taking for photography. Is there a way I can use hook a dSLR up to it for viewing pictures onthe nice large screen? Another use that would sound good to me would be using it to viewphotos on a portable storage device with no screen. Using PTP this sounds (to me, anyway) like it would be very easy toproduce and there must be a market for it - yet does such a solutionexist?! Thanks, Andy. erickpro
I know that with some medium format backs you can actually see the picture on your palm. I believe is with the hasselblad but I'm not sure what PDA is compatible and what is needed.
mawz
Given the absurdly low quality screens on even the best Palms, I wouldn't bother. While larger than the LCD on most DSLR's, the colour and quality is not comparable. I'd just go for the Epson Photo Wallet (P2000 IIRC) with it's gorgeous 3.8" screen, card reader and 40GB HDD. akajohndoe
The two options are Palm & PPC. Palm does not support CF cards (yet); only SD. PPC supports both. I have Splashphoto on my Palm, which supports native jpg format. There are so many forms of RAW that it is improbable that any software supports the form you need. While the screen is larger than the LCD on most DSLRs, the resolution is not up to a laptop or desktop monitor; however, it is very nice to have the pictures with me.
