soumya_simanta
Im new to the world of photography as well as digital post processing. I saw this (http://g8.no/index.php?showimage=121) image recently and waswondering how the photographer achieved this effect. I understand there is somegreat light here. But, do you feel that some of this image is post process inPhotoshop (especially the water) or is it just because of a long exposure on thecamera. Also, if someone can point to me a good resource that discuss the techniquesused to get this picture (apart from great talent of course :) ) Thank you. photo_smith
Possibly not. I have taken some early morning pictures of the sea with long exposures, this tends to turn the sea into a ethereal mist. I'll bet that's how the water was done as for the colour, who knows? PP done well can be hard to spot;-) Mark
robert_brake1
The water you can get from long exposure. I once got a very similar intensity of blue in the sky by shooting a long exposure to the north on an exceptionally clear winter evening. That photographer was shooting into the ecliptic so I'd hazard the blues have been dressed up a bit.
steven_muller
yeah, you will often see color shifts and such with reciprocity failure..
bill koenig
I'm not sure about the picture, but that's a cool web site.
conrad_fischer1
Judging from the other image of the woman holding the lit lightbulb, I would hazard to guess that the author was not averse to using some digital massaging.
steven_muller
that isn't necessarily digital (the lightbulb)....you would be amazed at what some photographers do in studio....... I worked as an assistant for this guy <www.davidsharpe.com> for a while, and all of his work is done in camera
