bill a.
continued from here: http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00H0Eo&tag= Got the camera back. Thought this body might be cursed; this body originally went to the same facility that had the guy try to sell the Bradgelina digital images... thought it might have wound up in a Secret Service evidence locker. Anyway, I guess it made it on to Nikon Melville (PCR couldn't replace the baord because Nikon would not send them one --- it had to go to Nikon) before PCR's guy got busted, and Nikon fixed it, sent it back to them, and then back to me. This F100 was not matching well meter-wise with my other bodies (1-2 stops under). Repair tag from PCR states the following (verbatim): Repaired main board (it was supposedly replaced) adjusted focus/flash adjusted shutter speed autofocus test, check, recal and realign software download, test, and check and complete recal general test, clean and repair Basically, they gutted it (new board), and CLA. Anyone know how they "load" software on it? I asked for them to document how far off it really was before the repairs, but the message never got through on the tracking system, so I will never know. It was (as far as Nikon is concerned), more than just an adjustment, though.
