Mushrooms

I shot these mushrooms in Wisconsin last summer, using expired T-Max 100

(expiration 2001 if I recall correctly). Developed in HC-110, 1:63, 9:20 min. @ 75

degrees. Shot with M2 and Konica 50/2 M-Hexanon.

"Do you attribute to the lower contrast and what appears to be grain to the fact that you used

expired film?"

Good questions that I'm afraid I cannot answer as I don't have a lot of experience with T-

Max. To my eyes, contrast is good here, and these are less grainy than what I get from Tri-X

and HP5+. The only weird stuff going on here (for me) is the cast in the background foliage,

but it does not bother me to much. Can other eyes weigh in? Scanners are usually blamed

for added grain, so in this case grain is coming from my KM SD-IV and not from the film, at

least that's my guess.
