jja
I shot these mushrooms in Wisconsin last summer, using expired T-Max 100 (expiration 2001 if I recall correctly). Developed in HC-110, 1:63, 9:20 min. @ 75 degrees. Shot with M2 and Konica 50/2 M-Hexanon. <center><img src="http://static.flickr.com/54/135709950_e8874bc65a_o.jpg"></ center> --- <center><img src="http://static.flickr.com/54/135709950_e8874bc65a_o.jpg"></ center> --- The whole set is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/10229578@N00/sets/72057594118449778/

olliesteiner
Lovely tonality. I hope you'll take more M2 B&W shots and show them here.
jja
Correction once again. I categorized this as w/nw, but did not put it in the title. Please contribute. [Moderators, if you delete this, I'll repost it in proper fashion.]
Troll
Mushrooms -- do you sniff'em, snort'em, shoot'em, spread'em, eat'em, or what?
michael_kastner
</center>The neat thing about mushrooms is that they appear to yield excellent B/W shots.
vivek iyer
Juan, Beautiful captures! Thanks! I wonder where those "critics" who keep claiming that Leica users can't focus properly are?!
jja
Thanks for the comments. Under the shade of the forest, most of these were f2 and 1/60 or 1/30. Bill, obviously, I shoot'em!

jja
Pine Lake, near Bloomer. My family and I visit the inlaws every summer. There was a great variety of wild mushrooms last summer.
raymond_tai
Do you attribute to the lower contrast and what appears to be grain to the fact that you used expired film?
jja
"Do you attribute to the lower contrast and what appears to be grain to the fact that you used expired film?" Good questions that I'm afraid I cannot answer as I don't have a lot of experience with T- Max. To my eyes, contrast is good here, and these are less grainy than what I get from Tri-X and HP5+. The only weird stuff going on here (for me) is the cast in the background foliage, but it does not bother me to much. Can other eyes weigh in? Scanners are usually blamed for added grain, so in this case grain is coming from my KM SD-IV and not from the film, at least that's my guess.
