finding and deleting Epson paper profiles

Recommended Posts

I have a corrupted profile for Epson Premium Glossy on my wife's

R320. All the other paper profiles work fine; when I try to use the

PG profile the printer just stops and I nget a message "jobs

stopped" This is on a Mac G5 with OSX 10.4.

I tried to locate the profiles, in Colorsync and in the Epson

folders, no luck. I tried re-installing the printer, but still no

luck.

Can anyone tell me where to locate these profiles so I can delete

the offending one and start over?

I could not find any help from a quick search on Photonet, but

apologies if this is an old topic.

The printer profiles are a part of the printer plugin bundle located in
/Library/Printers/EPSON/xxx.plugin

You need to choose the .plugin file and then use the drop down menu item to "Show

Package Contents. The profiles are in the "Resources/ICC" folder of the bundle. Unless you

are working from an account with administrator access, they are locked.

It's generally safer to boot your system from the Mac OS X v10.4.x distribution DVD and

do a custom re-install of the appropriate printer family rather than try to manipulate the

contents of a .plugin package directly.
