savas_kyprianides
Is there any technical considerations preventing using Canon flash gear as noted along with a Wien peanut, sync-cord connected to trip an SB-28 Nikon flash unit? I am aware this will be manually controlled. I am trying to salvage the amount I paid for the SB-28 from way back when, rather than pony up for another Canon flash. rickvandenberg
Preflash & wireless communication from the Canon gear will cause you grief. Not sure if the "digital" slaves will fix it or not. I would presume that there could be multiple preflashes if you have multiple wireless groups, but I won't know until tomorrow when my extra flashes get delivered. I decided to get two 430EX's that I know will work and have extra features, rather than shelling out for yet more Wein slaves to let my old Vivitars work. The Wein "digital" slaves are outrageously priced.
savas_kyprianides
I am figuring on two flashes max. The Wein peanut costs around $20.00, plus the cost of the cable.
mike butler
You could get a discontinued 420ex for not much after you sell the SB-28 to KEH. Then you'd have a nice two-light set up with E-TTL.
savas_kyprianides
Good one. I had not thought of that. I live near B&H. Wonder if they or KEH will do me a better deal? My flashes are mint.
