belledeux diana
Al (Kaplan) just called to say he was in the hospital-he called an ambulance himself this morning. He was feeling not so great, dizzy, tired.... He said to let you know. He did not have a heart attack, but they will keep him overnight for tests.
He was feeling really bad and almost disoriented this morning, but when he called from the hospital he was feeling much better.....good enough in fact to jokingly blame last night with Brad for it all....(jokingly, I said...) and then to complain because the ambulance guys discouraged him from taking his Bessa with the 15mm lens. So I think he's not too distracted by his condition.....you might say he feels naked without a camera...but I think it's more a case of being naked and without a camera!
He asked me to check in for him here....he has his phone with him, but I think he's trying to conserve batteries until someone can bring him his charger. Does he ever stop?! I'm sure someone will have to bring the camera too. aric_rothman
"He needs the camera for the tests 'Testing for Al Kaplan, no can't be him, no camera'"

Definitely. Without the camera, the doctors might confuse Al with Keith Richards, and nobody wants that. The fortifying preservatives they use on Keith (formaldehyde, cadmium salts, and ionizing radiation), could make Al really grouchy.

Get well soon Al. And post the nurse pics!
