EricM
Eliot, sent chills up my spine. I wonder if some of those where shot on the old 127 folding cameras as it looks like the lens was a bit tilt/shift in some cases. nevertheless, intresting ten minutes going through them. jerry_lehrer
Eric,-- What is the clue to viewing them? All I see is a long vertical list of things starting with Tinian. There is nothing to click on to open up photos. I would appreciate any help.

al_kaplan1
Thanks, Eric~ My dad was stationed on Tinian. I have no idea what ever happened to his collection of picture that he shot there and in India during the war with his Retina. For those who never heard of the place, Tinian is an island in the Marianna (sp?) Islands. Our B-29 bombers made bombing raids on Japan from the base there, including the two atomic bombs. vinay_patel
<<images, the most important medium.>> Images are the medium between the viewer with the photographer. Film (or digital)is the medium between the photographer and the image. Both are equally important in the chain.

Tony Rowlett
It worked for a little while in Firefox v. 1.0.6 but half-way, the images would no longer load at all. I launched Internet Explorer 6.0 and they came up just fine. Backups? We don’t need no stinking ba #.’ _ , J

vic_.
The enduring legacy of all wartime pictures is that the inhumanity of human beings towards humans and other species continues unabated, and at full throttle.
