Pentax 645 lens and repair Q's, Infrared film Q's

Hello all:

 

I have a few Q's pertaining to the Pentax 645.

 

1. For my 120mm f/4 macro lens (manual focus) what options do I have

for a ring light flash?

 

2. My 645 has a problem with draining battery power while it is shut

off. Is the a way I can correct this myself or do I need to ship it

to the factory for repair?

 

3. I understand that the N and NII versions imprint the photo data

on the edge of the negative. Is that an infrared system that is

used? And if so, would that fog infrared film?

 

4. Does anybody have experience with Macophot infrared film in 120

size? I welcome recommendations for exposure and developement.

1. DX12R by Sunpak with PT-2D adapter and 67mm lens mount will give you ttl ringlight with the 645's

#2 and 3. I think that you will have to have an experienced repairman look at it... I use Konica and Kodak 120 IR film and no, it does not fog the film

OK, I ordered the flash and receivd over a month ago. The pt-2d adaptor module is on backorder, for an indeterminable amount of time. The internet shops I am a regular of don't even have the product listed. Is there a place to look for the module (besides Ebay) that is known for carrying oddball items? Please help, summer is dwindeling downard and I wish to capture the flowers in a nearby park before they die.
