anton frid photography
Question - Has anyone purshared or heard anything about Doug Gordon Workshops instructional DVD's? The description is nice, and it might be useful, but i am not sure that the actual video's or examples are worth the $500. Does anyone have personal experience with this? or heard anything regarding these workshops? Also, any other instructional DVD worth a purchase? david_schilling___chicago_
I got the Doug Gordon VHS video from Ebay on "Photographing the B/G Outdoors" and thought it was well worth the $25-30 that I paid for it.
picturesque
Not sure I know which set you're talking about, but be sure his style--posing and lighting--is what you are interested in. His work is not the typical PJ style. I have been to a seminar where he spoke.
lou korell
Hard to know if it's worth $500 but I attended one of his seminars at the DWF convention in Las Vegas and he was very interesting. He's a great presenter and a very sharp guy. I'm sure you will come away with some things you didn't realize after hearing his methods. Watching him work is fascinating. He certainly is a successful photographer, but as he says himself, "I'm a businessman who happens to be a photographer". You can bank on that.
