pensacolaphoto
Hi,I have a DOMKE bag and need inserts. Where would I get inserts that fir my camera bag? Must I get DOMKE inserts or would other type inserts also work fine? They should.
bill_b2
Get the inserts from a local Domke dealer, or if that is not available, from a reputable mail order source, such as bhphotovideo.com. Any insert that fits and the velcro matches that of the bag will work. If you do not need to velcro in the inserts, any that fit will work, as will lens cases, lens wraps, homemade foam wraps, bubble wrap, etc. You can get a thick piece of foam and cut it to match your hardware, too. The older dark Domkes, and maybe some new ones, are pretty dark inside, too. On one of mine, I put a thin sheet of white foam on the bottom interior. Much easier to see stuff now and a little more protection. Bill
klix
YOu can get DOmke inserts at B&H or Adorama, and yes, can non-Domke inserts as well. The Crumpler bunion inserts look pretty interesting... here's a link: http://www.adorama.com/CLBIST.html
pensacolaphoto
Bill: This is a good idea. "On one of mine, I put a thin sheet of white foam on the bottom interior. david_l.
The Crumpler Bunion insert for their Wonder Weenie bag fits the Domke F2 main compartment perfectly! I have 2 of these and I can swap from my medium format kit to my digital kit with the simple chanfe of the insert and I keep universal accessories in the outer pockets. I prefer the Crumpler insert to the Domke one because the Domke ones are not padded on the bottom.
